Event: Uzbekistan-Japan Food Industry Development Forum
June 2024
DNA supported the organisation of the Uzbekistan-Japan Food Industry Development Forum. The event, which took place in Tashkent, brought together government officials and business representatives from Uzbekistan and Japan to explore new opportunities for cooperation in the agri-food sector. Participants learned about advanced Japanese agricultural technologies and enjoyed a tasting of Japanese cuisine.

Campaign: Contest for Nestlé Uzbekistan
May 2024
DNA organised a contest and award ceremony titled "Health of the Planet = My Health," which invited students at a selection of schools across Uzbekistan to submit poster designs about the importance of protecting the environment. The contest was supported by Nestlé Uzbekistan as part of its commitment to supporting healthy habits and environmental stewardship among young people.

Event: Logistics Sector Briefing
April 2024
DNA and Centrum Logistics Group hosted a briefing to share the findings of a first-of-its-kind annual report on Uzbekistan's logistics sector. The briefing included a moderated discussion with four leading executives from Centrum and brought together an audience of Centrum clients, partners, government stakeholders, and journalists.

Media Tour: EU-Funded Projects in Fergana
November 2023
DNA organised a two-day media tour which took journalists to the Fergana Valley to visit to three agri-food projects that had received funding from the European Union. Participating journalists and EU representatives learned how EU support had enabled over 4,000 farmers to receive training in modern irrigation and water management techniques. Media tour participants also got to see irrigation infrastructure that had been modernised with the support of EU grants. DNA organised all aspects of the media tour on behalf of the European Union Delegation in Tashkent.

Event: Employee Town Hall Meeting
September 2023
DNA worked hand-in-hand with the communications departments of global energy firms TAQA and Mubadala to conduct a town hall meeting for staff at the Talimarjan Power Plant. DNA managed the event logistics and prepared a presentation to be given by senior executives to around 700 participating employees. DNA also managed videography and photography of the event.

Event: Uzbek-British Business Showcase
July 2023
DNA provided communications support for the Uzbek-British Business Showcase in London. Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov led a high-level delegation to the event, which took place at the prestigious Institute of Directors. Over 180 executives from leading British and international companies and banks attended the showcase, which included speeches, presentations, and a networking reception. The event was moderated by DNA co-founder Esfandyar Batmanghelidj.

Media Tour: Agri-Food Projects in Kashkadarya
May 2023
DNA organised a two-day media tour which took journalists to Kashkadarya to visit to two agri-food enterprises that had received funding from the European Union. Participating journalists and EU representatives learned how EU support was provided through the Livestock Sector Development Project. The EU grants enabled the purchase of new farm equipment and machinery for the processing of dairy products. This machinery helped boost the productivity and profitability of two cooperatives, improving the livelihoods of farmers in local communities.

Event: Europe Day Reception
May 2023
DNA helped roll out the red carpet for a special reception to mark Europe Day. The occasion was an opportunity to celebrate the European Union as a project for peace, unity, and prosperity and to recognise the key areas of cooperation between the EU and Uzbekistan, as well as the wider Central Asian region. The Europe Day reception was presided over by EU Ambassador Charlotte Adriaen and Uzbek Minister of Investments Laziz Kudratov.

Event: Europe Day Gala Concert
May 2023
DNA organised a special gala concert on behalf of the Delegation of the European Union in Uzbekistan as part of the Europe Day celebrations. The concert took place at the Alisher Navoi State Academic Theater under the supervision of theatre director Ramiz Usmanov. Masterpieces of European opera and ballet were performed with accompaniment by the theatre's orchestra. The beautiful performances symbolised the rich cultural exchange that is taking place between Europe and Uzbekistan.

Event: Global GTL Technology User Forum
May 2023
Last month DNA organised a first-of-its-kind conference on behalf of Uzbekistan GTL, a subsidiary of Uzbekneftgas. The conference brought together over 80 engineers and technicians from global companies operating gas-to-liquids (GTL) technology developed by South Africa's Sasol and Denmark's Haldor Topsoe. Over the course of three days, engineers and technicians operating GTL facilities shared their experiences, outlined plans for further development, and discussed potential new innovations in GTL technology, particularly those that would deliver efficiency improvements. The conference participants also had a chance to tour the magnificent sites in Samarkand and to learn more about Uzbekistan's rich culture.

Press Release: Centrum Air Takes Delivery of A320s
February 2023
When low-cost carrier Centrum Air took delivery of two Airbus A320 aircraft, DNA supported the exciting delivery by liaising with media and coordinating photography. The Uzbek startup airline had already welcomed two Boeing 737s into its fleet and hopes to grow to around 20 aircraft by the end of the year.

Market Entry: Aakash Healthcare Hospital Launch
November 2022
Working in partnership with India's Impact PR, DNA oversaw the launch of Aakash Healthcare's new multispecialty hospital in Tashkent. Aakash Healthcare is the first Indian healthcare company to establish a permanent presence in Uzbekistan. DNA oversaw the organisation of a ribbon cutting event and the related media outreach.

Event: SWISS DAYS 2022 in Tashkent
November 2022
DNA worked with the Embassy of Switzerland in Uzbekistan and Switzerland Global Enterprise to launch Uzbekistan's first ever edition of SWISS DAYS, a multi-day showcase of leading Swiss brands. DNA was responsible for adapting the logo, building the website, implementing a communications plan for the event, which drew hundreds of visitors to Tashkent's Riviera Mall. Featured brands included Nestlé, Lindt, Movenpick, Curapox, and Pain Paillasse, among others.

Event: Press Conference for Delivery of 747F
October 2022
DNA supported Uzbek logistics company My Freighter with media relations around the acquisition of a Boeing 747F cargo aircraft. DNA organised a press conference to mark the delivery of the aircraft in Tashkent and issued a local and international press release, generating significant media coverage. My Freighter is the first Uzbek company to own and operate the freight variant of the iconic "Jumbo Jet."

Campaign: Launch of Besh Qadam Early Childhood Education App
October 2022
DNA supported Magenta Consulting in the rollout of the Besh Qadam early childhood development app in Uzbekistan. The Besh Qadam app was developed by Australia's Minderoo Foundation and localised in partnership Innovation Centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Preschool Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan. For this project, DNA adapted a global brand identity and arranged studio photography and localised copy to support a multichannel campaign including media outreach, social media content, and advertisement in the Tashkent and Namangan transport systems.

Public Artwork: Mural for European Mobility Week 2022
September 2022
For European Mobility Week 2022, DNA project managed the creation of a major new piece of public art in Tashkent on behalf of the European Union Delegation to Uzbekistan. A nine-story mural located near the 4-Bekat metro station serves as a vibrant expression of the idea of sustainable mobility. The mural was created by the "Brushers" artist collective with curatorial support from the Autograph Art Gallery.

Publication: A New Investment Guide for Uzbekistan
September 2022
DNA worked with Uzbekistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs to develop an investment guide for the "New Uzbekistan," which was published with support from UNDP. The 125-page guide was launched by Uzbek foreign minister Vladimir Norov and UNDP Uzbekistan Resident Representative Matilda Dimovska in a ceremony attended by the diplomatic corps.

Media Tour: EU-Funded Agri-Food Facilities

DNA organised a media tour of two EU-funded agri-food facilities in the Tashkent Region. DNA also prepared fact-sheets and press releases as part of the tour. Participating journalists were able to see up close how EU funding for equipment and training is improving Uzbekistan's food security through the development of new fruit and vegetable varieties and the inspection and certification of agricultural goods.

Event: We-Fi "Going Digital" Training

DNA provided event management and marketing support to EBRD and the Womens Entrepreneurship Finance Initiative (We-Fi) for a “Going Digital ” training session. The session covered digital tools and marketing methods that can help women entrepreneurs leaders take their businesses to the next level.

Campaign: British Council 25th Anniversary

DNA is supporting the British Council as part of a communications campaign focused on the organisation’s 25th anniversary of operations in Uzbekistan. As part of the campaign, DNA created specific content highlighting British Council “success stories” and organised a press conference.

Branding and Corporate Video: Zarbuloq Engineering
November 2021
DNA was hired by Zarbuloq Engineering, a leading provider of engineering solutions in Uzbekistan, to update the company’s brand identity and to create new communications assets. As part of this project, DNA produced a corporate video illustrating the company's unique capabilities in shortcrete technologies. The video was produced in both Russian and Uzbek.

Campaign: European Mobility Week
September 2021
As part of its ongoing communications advisory to the European Union Delegation in Uzbekistan, DNA created different communications resources in support of European Mobility Week, a global initiative of the European Union supporting healthy and sustainable mobility practices. This video captures the launch event of EMW in Tashkent, which included a special public art exhibition organised by DNA in collaboration with local Uzbek artists.

Conference: IsDB 2021 Annual Meetings
September 2021
DNA was hired by the Islamic Development Bank as local media and communications managers for the 2021 Annual Meetings, which were held in Tashkent. DNA worked with IsDB’s marketing and communications team to develop the event branding, produce event publications, prepare social media content, organise media relations , and manage all photography and video production for the meetings, which welcomed over 4,000 delegates.

Report: Enforcement of Labour Standards
May 2021
DNA was hired by the World Bank to support the publication of a new report by the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations detailing the enforcement activities of the State Labor Inspectorate. This report, the first-of-its-kind published in Uzbekistan, will help improve transperancy and accountability by providing timeseries data on the enforcement of labour standards.

Conference: INNOPROM
April 2021
DNA was hired by the conference organisers to manage media relations and facilitate speaker interviews for the “INNOPROM: Big Industrial Week in Uzbekistan,” a major international industrial exhibition held in Tashkent in 5-7 April 2021. More than 300 industrial companies exhibited, drawn from delegations from Armenia, Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, France, Czech Republic, and Japan. Over three days, the exhibition was visited by more than 10,000 visitors from all over Central Asia.

Conference: UBTIC 2021

DNA, under the Eurasian Investor event brand, was hired to organise the 25th anniversary edition of the Uzbek-British Trade and Industry Council on behalf of the British Embassy Tashkent and the Uzbek Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade. The event was held using a powerful online platform, including networking features, and was attended by over 500 delegates.

Trade Delegation: Denmark-Uzbekistan
December 2020
On behalf of Dansk Industri, the Confederation of Danish Industry, DNA organised the first even virtual trade delegation between Denmark and Uzbekistan, focusing on opportunities in clean energy and green technology. The delegation was funded by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and included participation of senior leaders from the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade and Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan. The event brought together over 20 of Denmark’s sector-leading companies and was followed by B2B and B2G meetings organised for these firms.

Report: COVID-19 and the Labour Force
September 2020
DNA was hired by the International Labour Organization to assist the Uzbek Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations to develop a report detailing the Ministry’s response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Uzbek labour force. DNA also organised a webinar on behalf of the clients launching the report and presenting key findings to international stakeholders.
